Margaret Collins

Margaret graduated with a BCL Degree (Hons) from University College Cork in 1988 and apprenticed to Flor Murphy qualified as a solicitor in 1993, making partner in O’Donovan Murphy & Partners Solicitors LLP by 1998 Margaret is a full-time solicitor, with 23 years work experience in conveyancing / property law and particular flair for agri-conveyancing and conveyancing-litigation areas.

Margaret has seen incredible success in recent years acting on behalf of clients in renewable energy projects (both hydro and wind farms) and liaising with Renewable Energy Development Companies in setting up Option Agreements/Leases/Licences for such developments; liaising with Airgrid in relation to establishment of grid connections; dealing with assignment of Option Agreements and advising on legal aspects of such enterprises.

In the Conveyancing/Litigation teams Margaret acts on behalf of Clients in conveyancing/property law litigation including typically;- rights of way disputes, boundary disputes, mapping discrepancies, encroachment, title issues, damage to property, squatters title, first registration cases referred to Courts and all equity actions. Work would involve detailed appraisal of title, associated maps, engineers reports, on-site inspection, liaising with Counsel with regard to contentious issues; dealing with pleadings, settlement discussions and Court attendances at all Courts from District to Circuit to High Court level.
