Mary Jo Crowley
Mary Jo graduated with a BCL Degree (Hons) from University College Cork in 1985 and qualified as a solicitor in 1990 after apprenticing with Denis O’Donovan, Mary Jo worked as an associate until being made a partner in 1998. Mary Jo provides a full range of legal services, but specialises in Conveyancing and Property Law and leads the Conveyancing and Property Law team. Mary Jo has vast experience acting on behalf of both individual and corporate vendors, purchasers, mortgagors and mortgagees dealing with both Land Registry and Registry of Deeds titles.
Mary Jo has vast experience of setting up of Schemes and Management Companies for apartment complexes and for mixed residential/commercial developments and sales of the individual apartments/units therefrom.
Following the introduction of the Multi Unit Development Act 2011 Mary Jo has worked in preparation, coordinating and chairing of handover meetings of Management Companies to apartment/unit owners resolving successfully any issues arising.
Mary Jo also runs a highly successful and busy Maritime/Fishing Law team specialising in purchasing, selling, mortgaging and leasing of Vessels from Ferries to Tankers and Fishing Trawlers. Mary Jo deals with the licensing and registration of vessels, purchasing and selling Capacity and Kilowatts for fishermen as well as advising on all aspects of regulation and legislation in the Maritime/Fishing area. Mary Jo has huge experience and specialist knowledge from years of practice making her a highly valued asset amongst her Maritime/Fishing clients.
