Welcome to O’Donovan, Murphy & Partners

This firm was founded by Denis A. O’Donovan, opening for business in April 1981. Denis O’Donovan operated as a sole Practitioner until 1989 when Florence Murphy became his partner and the firm’s name was changed to O’Donovan Murphy & Co., Solicitors.

Nine years later, two further partners were introduced, Mary Jo Crowley and Margaret Collins and the partnership was Donovan Murphy & Partners, Solicitors.

The practice grew from its initial one Principal and one Secretary in 1981 to become one of West Cork’s largest law firms employing over 20 people.
